Oliver is 1 Month Old!

We know we said it all of the time with Everett, but when you have a newborn/baby it is really amazing how time flies!  It is so hard to believe that Oliver was already 1 month old over a week ago!  As with E, we celebrated by taking him to visit Dr. K to check in and see how our boy is growing...and growing is he ever.  At 1 month, he weighed 10 lbs 2 oz (how the heck do we have a 10 lb baby already?!) and was 23 3/4 inches long.  Guess we don't need to worry if he is getting enough to eat or not, because it's clear that he is...HAHA.  Those measurements put him off the charts for height at his age and in the 75th percentile for weight.  We were curious as to how he compared to Everett at 1 month (and so the sibling rivalry begins!) and turns out they were the same EXACT length and Oliver outweighed Everett by 4 oz. Not that O was that much smaller than E when he was born, but it's hard to believe we are going to have another healthy, strong boy on our hands.

Oliver has been eating really well (clearly!) and we have a nice little routine of eating every 3 hours during the day and then 1 middle of the night feeding (usually around 2 or 3am), but in a few weeks we'll work on trying to weed that one out.  As you can see from the picture above, he is starting to smile more and be more awake during the day - this picture gives a little peek at his adorable dimples!  When he is awake he's very attentive, taking everything in, and focusing on the things around him...especially his big brother!  We think he smiled at E before he smiled at either one of us!
