25 Months!
We know we say this every month - or at least every time we give an update on what Everett is up to - but it truly is amazing all of the new things he does every month...more like every day! The weather has been so nice, so Everett has really enjoyed playing outside (we love our fenced in backyard!) - bike rides on his trike around the neighborhood, playing golf or baseball in the backyard, bike rides with Daddy, helping Mommy in the garden, etc. We are going to continue to try to take advantage of it before it starts to get too warm out. Everett - as we've said before - is such an amazing big brother and it's unbelievable how just in the past month he seems to have really gone from a little boy/toddler to a big boy...he's a good helper too! Now we just need to work on potty training at some point. :) Here is what E is up to:
- Favorite Toy - still the iPad (which he can now say), but trains are definitely giving it a run for its money!
- Favorite Food - does milk count? Or I guess I should say 'Choc Milk'. He now inspects milk - either by taste or if he can see through the bottom of the cup - for a sign of chocolate (aka like a 4th of a serving of Ovaltine) and will let you know if there isn't any in there! Pancakes are definitely a favorite food as well.
- New Words - I guess I should say phrases! He is starting to say some sentences and as I mentioned before he repeats everything, so there is nothing that he really won't try to say. Here are some regularly used words/phrases:
- How Doin'? - his standard greeting whether you are getting him out of bed, talking to him in the phone, walk in a door, etc.
- MommyDaddy - yep, one word. He figures if he says it, one of us will answer...he's just being efficient!
- Gabba Gabba - he can now say it!
- Choc Milk - mentioned above
- Avake - is he a vampire? E is always telling us what Oliver is up to..whether he's awake, crying, sleeping, etc.
- Mac n' Cheese - forgot to mention that this is also a very favorite food choice
- Popus - could be Thomas (the train) or hummus...HAHA
- Where are you? - Every time his shirt is taken off or put on, he says this.
- Bless You - Very good about saying this to folks...especially Oliver. If Oliver coughs, sneezes, makes a funny noise, E says 'Bless You Olver')
- Activities/Other - He loves listening to music on the iPad. Usually it is one or two songs that he decides he really like for the day and then those are somehow played on repeat...we usually end up listening to them 50 or so times. If he has a baseball hat on, he insists on wearing it backwards. Not sure were exactly he got this, but it's so cute and makes him seem like such a big boy!
Just taking care of some business on the iPad
"Put him in a body bag Johnny!"
He insisted on watching Gabba on the iPad with the headphones on for several days
Nice hit! Golfing in the backyard.
