Everett Wolf: Social Butterfly
Over the past few weeks, Everett has been working on his Queen of England impersonation (he also does a great Elvis), and has been entertaining many visitors at home. Denee's sister Daura, Jamal, and their kids Lydia, Makana and Amani visited on their way back home to New York after an extended stay in Costa Rica. They all were tanned and relaxed, with great stories about the culture and their experiences to tell. Lydia did a great job with Everett - helping change his diapers, holding him on the couch, and helping limit the horseplay around E-Man while he was sleeping. Daura, Jamal, Lydia and Denee started a garden in our backyard as well, where we'll have tomatoes, onions, peppers, squash, and even strawberries! I apologize to any vegetables I may have missed. We have had deer in our front yard since we moved in, eating flower buds and trying to steal the Audi (they're suckers for hatchbacks because of the amount of salt you can pile through the back window), and so we'll see who ends up benefitting most from the new food source. Denee's grandma "Nan" and Aunt Julie came up from Florida for an overnight stay. We all had a great time visiting, eating, and all of us went to church - we filled up a whole pew!
Paula and Rhea Wolf (Nate's wife and almost one-year old daughter) also came up from Florida last week for a few days, which also coincided with a visit from "Granny" Wolf and Mike. Rhea and Everett got along pretty well, and since Rhea is just starting to walk and was showing off her skills all over the house, we got another glimpse at what is not yet babyproofed! Exposed power cords and heavy books within arm's reach are two examples.
Everett also took his first trip into Baltimore (about a 45 min drive) for Keith Bowman's birthday party. Between the crowd noise and his eating schedule, we didn't make it too long, but it was fun to see our Charm City friends for a little bit at least. We're planning another trip soon for his first Orioles-Indians game. Go Tribe!
