First Couple Weeks

The first couple weeks have flown by! We had a great visit by Nan and Pap Driscoll (Trish and Denny, if you're not in the know), who helped out so much with keeping the house in order while we adjusted to baby life. There were some long nights, for sure, but young Everett (or E-Dawg as his Uncle Nate called him) is starting to sleep for longer stretches - sometimes up to 5 hours at a time during the night! Thanks Nan and Pap!

Barrett was the first to visit us in the hospital (at 4am, just a few hours after Everett was born!) and has also been a regular visitor at home. He does so well with Everett! The little guy spit up while Barrett was holding him and he calmly asked, "do you guys have a napkin or something?"

Grandpa Wolf (Mike) has also been a frequent visitor and loves to hold Everett whenever he's here. He's also taken each visit (pre- and post-birth) to stock the fridge and cupboards with provisions from Trader Joe's and Love Point Deli, both of which I'm sure he's racked up tons of rewards points with.

We haven't been completely shut in, either! We've had a pediatrician visit, a few walks down the road, and then we even got up the courage to head to the outlet mall for a walk around a few stores. Everett's got some sweet new threads!

Finally, we've been perfecting (alright, working on) the art of bathing the little guy. He doesn't really like it too much yet, as you can see, but how would you like to take a bath in the sink?

  3. I know I already commented, but is that a soggy dollar painkiller cup you are using to bathe your son??
