Oliver is 9 Months Old!
Well, our suspicions were confirmed with a trip to Dr. K for Oliver's 9 month appointment...he went through a huge growth spurt! Looking back at Everett's stats over his first year, he had a huge growth spurt between 3 and 6 months, but didn't grow much between 6 and 9. Oliver was the exact opposite and at 9 months, it is amazing how close their measurements line up:
- Oliver - 9 months
- Weight - 17 lbs 1 oz (5%...he's back on the chart!)
- Height - 29 1/2 inches (90%...still up there!)
- Everett - 9 months
- Weight - 17 lbs
- Height - 29 7/8 inches
- Continues to eat everything in site! He cleans his tray so quickly, you think to yourself 'man, I'm going to find a ton of food in his seat' but then you lift him up and nope, he just at it all that fast!
- No new teeth yet - still just has 4. He chews on his fingers a ton and is always drooling, so we are convinced there are some more ready to bust through, but hasn't happened yet.
- Starting to sign - he signs 'more' when he's eating. It's a little closer to a slow clap than it is the technical sign for 'more', but when you say 'more?' he does that and genuinely wants more.
- Officially mobile - just army crawling at this stage, but man is he fast. We find him back in corners, under tables, etc. We have a feeling in a few weeks, it's going to be a whole other game!
Our happy little elf!
