Easter Weekend
After our visit from Dessa, Scott and Tallie, the Driscolls came down for Easter weekend and we had a very outgoing few days, exploring Kent Island and DC. On Easter Sunday we took a walk on the far western portion of the Cross Island Trail, which led us from a forested walkway to open fields and finally a nice secluded beach with a great view of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge!
Next was a drive into Washington, D.C. for an afternoon walk around the Washington Monument area. Our goal was to get a good look at the cherry blossoms, but we only found one tree still in bloom - the hot weather recently has really sped up the arrival (and departure) of spring in the area!

We also took Everett to church for the 2nd time, and once again he was a pious little monk, only breaking his vow of silence at the very end of mass for a few minutes before Denee picked him up. Overall, another great visit from Nan and Pap - Everett is really enjoying all the extra playtime!
